On-the-Job-Training or OJT is job training that occurs in the work place. It has many advantages, but it can also have a few disadvantages if the OJT is not planned and executed properly. It is part of a college curriculum that aims to train and orient students about the work and their future career. It is very important not only to teach students their chosen career but to show students the reality about working.
Most students nowadays are not serious in their training. They don't plan ahead and pick the best company that they can choose. Worst, they ended up cleaning the desk of their superior or doing unrelated tasks.
Here is why students should not take OJT for granted:
1. If you will get a high evaluation grade, your employer might hire you when you graduate.
2. Your background OJT is very important when applying for a job. Oftentimes, employers will ask you the relevance of your training to your course and to the position you are applying for.
3. Some companies will give you a monthly allowance if you are doing well in your tasks.
4. OJT will be your training ground. If you still have no idea on what is meant to be a worker, OJT will give a hint of career realities.
5. Your OJT superior my recommend your skills to other companies whom he knows.
6. It will give you a sense of confidence that you can use when applying for a job after graduation
7. Help individuals make informed career choices
Students should realize the importance of OJT on their future career. Having a good performance during OJT is very important especially now that there's a tight competition towards job seekers and the high qualification of companies.

She is always leveraging different tools to amplify student voice, to empower students to be independent learners on their own personalized platforms. Her classroom, the students are engaged the entire time and when you walk in every student is working on the level of which he or she finds success. She is an awesome teacher.
I love working with her, I think everybody would say they love working with Kelly because she puts it all out there, she wants everyone to succeed, she wants everybody to be happy and she gives it 110% everyday.
I think when I first started teaching, 2001, it was the desktops and the computer lab and I remember just trying to find ways to use it in the classroom and then as it's evolved over the years we went from a lab, to a laptop cart, to Chromebook carts and now we have one-to-one devices and I think every time something new comes out I wanna get my hands on it and try it.
There's a tool out therefor every type of learner whether they're reading at a below grade level, they struggle with language, they have a hard time expressing themselves orally. Technology really gives every type of learner the opportunity to express themselves. They might feel more comfortable recording themselves and sharing it. They might feel more comfortable typing.
Watching a student who has struggled in the past with getting their ideas on paper because they didn't like the act of actually writing can now tell a story, can type a story and animate it. They can create a slide show of a project that they might not necessarily want to write out in a report fashion. Now they can turn it into a digital tool that really showcases what they know but they might not have been able to do that and I think, especially teaching in an inclusion classroom, that's the opportunities that we're giving these students and it's amazing.
I nominated Kelly because she is one of the more innovative teachers I've ever seen in her use of technology and the way that she sets up her classroom. She really, truly feels that technology is not just a tool to help kids but it really is a tool to empower kids.
It gives kids a voice in her classroom and makes sure that everyone feels a part of a community. One of my favorite things to do is to share what I've learned or found with my colleagues. We host these lunch and learn sessions and everybody brings their Chromebook and one of my favorite things to do is to demonstrate and show how they can use it in their classroom, also.
Each scheme is different. Check you meet the general terms and conditions. Talk to the grant body to assess chances of success. Read grant objectives carefully. Have a great business plan.
